Cheater McCheaterson

Boots // Tights, similar, similar, similar // Dress, similar // Cardigan, similar

I'm wearing Madden Girl boots, Urban Outfitters tights, a Target Xhilaration dress, and a cropped cardigan from Takeout. You seriously would not believe how hard it actually is to find a black cropped cardigan online. Even though almost everyone I know owns one, I couldn't find one online! What the heck??

At first I was going to wear these tights in a Juria Nakagawa-type outfit, but then decided against it because all my darks are in the laundry. (Seriously, though, Juria is absolutely AMAZING.)

So instead I wore this dress, which for some reason I hated when I first bought it. I really like it now though. These tights were a Christmas present and even though they're not sold online you could probably go to any UO store and pick up the exact same pair.

This is like the super-cheating way of mixing prints, because you're technically mixing prints - except for one of them is a pair of tights and matches EVERYTHING (seriously. I checked). Can I just say that patterned tights are like, the best thing evarrr??

Inspiration - Moulin Rouge Las Vegas

The Moulin Rouge Las Vegas - opened in 1955 as "America's First Interracial Hotel". The owners hired black boxing champion Joe Louis a job as a greeter and trained blacks as waiters and waitresses. They scouted the West side for the "loveliest, leggiest ladies of their race" for a chorus line. (Cred: Smithsonian Mag, Jan 2013)

Do you see how fly these ladies are? They dressed to the nines and danced their butts off while simultaneously ending segregation by getting rid of racial barriers. Like, wow.
Sure, the Rouge closed after only four and a half month of being in business, but still.

And look at what they wore! Club-Tropicana Super-Neons, complete with feathers and heels and garters. It doesn't get better than that. These ladies are super hot, super talented, and pretty much the coolest kids around.

Lumberjack Princess

Happy New Year!
I'm wearing a Quicksilver flannel, Aeropostale cami, LoveCulture crop top, American Eagle skinny jeans and Dr Martens in Smooth Cherry. The headband is from Old Navy and the earrings are from H&M.
It was supposed to be a grunge-y look, but instead I kind of ended up looking like a lumberjack - the cutest, best-dressed lumberjack you ever did see!
I wore the flannel untied during the afternoon, and I've determined it looks much better than way.
